SPECIAL-
AREAS
General criminal law
General criminal law encompasses the offenses defined in the German Criminal Code, such as theft, fraud, assault, or traffic violations. It covers everyday allegations that can often have serious consequences. A criminal defense attorney examines evidence, develops a customized defense strategy, and protects your rights at every stage of the proceedings. Anyone who receives a subpoena or a search warrant should seek legal advice immediately—and not provide any information without consulting a lawyer.
Drug law
Drug law covers the handling of prohibited substances under the Narcotics Act (BtMG), although since the entry into force of the Cannabis Consumption Act (CanG), private possession and cultivation of cannabis have been legalized within narrow limits. Trafficking, illegal distribution, and possession of excess quantities remain punishable. Strict penalties continue to apply to other narcotics such as cocaine or heroin. In many cases, treatment requirements or measures under Section 35 of the Narcotics Act can provide a mitigating alternative.
Juvenile criminal law
Juvenile criminal law applies to young people (14–17 years old) and, in special cases, to adolescents (18–20 years old). It focuses not on punishment, but on education and rehabilitation. Instead of imprisonment, the focus is on educational measures such as conditions, community service, or training courses. The goal is to prevent future offenses and positively influence the young person's development.
Capital punishment law
Capital punishment law deals with the most serious crimes, such as murder, manslaughter, robbery resulting in death, or kidnapping for ransom. These offenses are regulated particularly strictly in the Criminal Code and typically carry long prison sentences, up to life imprisonment. Capital punishment proceedings are complex, often receive media attention, and require a meticulous defense strategy. The goal of the defense is to precisely examine the question of guilt and guilt and to comprehensively protect the rights of the accused.
Medical criminal law
Medical criminal law encompasses all criminal issues in the healthcare sector. These include allegations such as medical malpractice, billing fraud, assault, and violations of pharmaceutical and narcotics laws. Physicians and medical personnel often face complex proceedings in which medical and legal expertise are closely intertwined. The goal of a defense is to protect their professional reputation and license to practice medicine.
White-collar criminal law
White-collar criminal law deals with crimes in business and economic life, such as fraud, breach of trust, insolvency offenses, corruption, or tax evasion. Proceedings in this area are often complex and involve extensive files, economic context, and specialized regulations. An effective defense requires both legal expertise and an understanding of business processes. The goal is to minimize the financial and personal consequences for the client.
Sexual offenses
Sexual offenses encompass all offenses against sexual self-determination, such as sexual coercion, rape, sexual abuse of children, and possession or distribution of child pornography. Such proceedings are particularly stressful for defendants, as they often involve considerable public attention and personal consequences. An early and discreet defense is crucial to preserve evidence, ward off false accusations, and protect the client's rights.
Immigration law / asylum law
Immigration and asylum law regulates the entry, residence, and protection of foreign nationals in Germany. It covers issues related to residence permits, visas, family reunification, and asylum procedures for those seeking protection. These often involve complex application and court proceedings, for example, in cases of threatened deportation or an extension of residence. The goal of legal support is to protect the rights of those affected and achieve the best possible solutions for their continued existence in Germany.
