WHITE-COLLAR CRIMINAL LAW

The police or the tax investigators are at your door with the public prosecutor – now silence is the top priority!

White-collar criminal law is a broad field and requires special experience and up-to-date knowledge of the relevant case law to ensure an effective defense.

Economic crimes are rarely conflict-related crimes, but are usually the result of (recurring) economic decisions.

Economic criminal law includes all criminal offenses that have a connection to economic life, such as breach of trust (Section 266 of the Criminal Code), withholding and embezzlement of wages (Section 266a of the Criminal Code), fraud (Section 263 of the Criminal Code), subsidy fraud (Section 264 of the Criminal Code), corruption offenses such as bribery and corruption in commercial transactions (Section 299 of the Criminal Code), bribery (Section 334 of the Criminal Code) and the granting of advantages (Section 333 of the Criminal Code).

Proceedings in white-collar criminal law are characterized by long investigation periods and high complexity.

Due to the scope of the proceedings, the willingness of the judiciary to reach an agreement is quite high, both in advance and during the main hearing.

Furthermore, the mere accusation of a criminal offense can significantly jeopardize the accused's livelihood and business reputation. A search or the ordering of pretrial detention can have serious consequences. Therefore, my primary goal is to obtain a dismissal pursuant to Section 170, Paragraph 2 or Section 153a of the Code of Criminal Procedure. This avoids indictment and a public trial, and the criminal proceedings can be concluded quietly, without media coverage or reputational damage to the company.

In the event of a search or seizure , or if there is an arrest warrant or an imminent arrest, I will be at your side immediately and help you prevent the worst consequences.
